The Ferrari 365 GT4 BB (Berlinetta Boxer) is one of the most groundbreaking models in Ferrari history. Built between 1973 and 1976, it was the first production Ferrari with a mid-engine layout and the full Ferrari badge, marking a radical departure from traditional front-engined GTs such as the Daytona.
Powered by a 4,390 cc flat-12 boxer engine with four overhead camshafts and four Weber carburettors, the 365 GT4 BB produces approximately 360 hp. Combined with a low centre of gravity and a stiff chassis, this results in a pure, uncompromising driving experience. With performance figures approaching 300 km/h and a 0–100 km/h sprint in around 5.4 seconds, it was among the fastest road cars of its era.
This example was first registered on 01/01/1975 and is finished in the extremely rare Giallo Fly colour, a shade that perfectly highlights the sharp Pininfarina lines and is highly sought after by collectors.
The car underwent a high-quality professional restoration and today presents itself in a very attractive and honest condition. The bodywork is original and shows only normal signs of use, including small bubbles at the lower edges of the doors and a small dent on the right rear of the engine cover. The paintwork also shows light signs of use, with small cracks above the rear bumper caused by exhaust heat. The underside and engine bay are in as-new condition following restoration.
The interior is beautiful and original, in keeping with the exclusive character of the Berlinetta Boxer. The chassis number is original, correctly positioned and clearly readable, visible on the left rear frame.
Mechanically, the car is in excellent condition. The engine is completely rebuilt and as new, perfectly maintained, with all fluids fresh and nothing required. The clutch, 5-speed gearbox, brakes and handbrake operate perfectly and are correctly adjusted. Suspension and axles function flawlessly. The battery has recently been replaced. Electrically, the horn, wipers, heater and dashboard function correctly. Point of attention: the right rear number plate light and the reverse lights do not work. The tyres are old (DOT 1992) and should be replaced.
