The Ferrari 550 Maranello marked a deliberate return in the mid-1990s to Ferrari’s classic Grand Touring formula: a large naturally aspirated V12 up front, rear-wheel drive and a manual gearbox. With this model, Ferrari reconnected with iconic predecessors such as the Daytona.
The 5.5-litre V12 delivers its power in a linear and characterful manner, while the manual six-speed gearbox provides a direct, mechanical driving experience that has become increasingly rare. Pininfarina’s timeless design, combined with the classic Maranello layout, makes the 550 a highly regarded Ferrari within the modern classic segment.
This example was delivered new in Germany, exported to Italy in 2003 and later re-exported. Together with the accompanying documentation — including the original Ferrari Schedoni set, stamped service book, invoices and original toolkit — this 550 Maranello represents a particularly attractive opportunity for V12 Ferrari enthusiasts.
